Mr. Capitani has been involved in all facets of real estate brokerage and development since his graduation from Ohio Northern University in 1967. He joined his father’s staff at L. Mason Capitani, Inc. in 1973 and in 1976 he began to purchase stock in the firm with full acquisition of the same being completed by 1979. Over his watch he has built one of the most dominant real estate brokerage firms in the Midwest by instilling a company philosophy that is based on hard work and putting the client’s needs first. As a true believer in representing property owners and listing property, he has lead L. Mason Capitani, Inc. to a prominent position as one of the top brokerage firms in the region based upon market share. Mr. Capitani is known as a true professional, and year in and year out has been one of the top producers in the industry. Mr. Capitani is a past president of the Michigan Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and he has served on the board of directors of the Detroit Area Commercial Board of Realtors. In 1994 Mr. Capitani was honored by Commercial Inc. magazine as the “Mogul of the Year” and in 1996 he was honored by Corporate Detroit magazine as being one of the “Detroit Realtors of Renown”.
